Sevenoaks hockey festival, lots of fun and also lots of hard work involved (including covering all 6 long tables with trhe silver banqueting roll). It was a beautiful sunny weekend with fun, good hockey and a great deal of laughing.
Point to point is an opportunity for hunt horses to have a good run. Or at least this is what I think it is all about. Plus, perhaps, a good opportunity to have a picnic with friends. Also, so lots of Conservatives can walk about in their barber jackets and crew tops!!!
We decided on our way to Wales that we would visit Bath. Neither of us could decide whether we had in fact visited Bath before. It transpired I had, but a second visit was well worth it.
The Roman Baths were just excellent. I actually could image a roman walking around the corner. Then - one actually did!!
The best bit - which might not be clear in the photos - is the steam rising from the baths. Our earth is amazing, producing hot water from the ground!
We went to vivist friends in Winchester and it made me realsie how lovely Hampshire is as a county. These pictures are some of the few moments when it didn't rain! We spent time in great pubs and ate delicious food. The farmer's market on Sunday morning was just brilliant - lots of produce from down the road sold by the people who produced it. How the small things now please me. The things I scoffed at in my younger years are now some of favourite things.
All change in terms of weather today. I woke up and looked out the window and found our garden was covered with snow. So, we decided to go on a snowy walk around the village.
We saw some intrepid adventurers. Some confused lambs looking for their mummies. Kentish picture postcard views. Just lovely. All finished off with a cup of tea; the soft sofa and an episode of Cranford!
After another busy day involving making electric circuits with 30 kids, referee hockey games and balancing over unset concrete to lock the school door I encountered the wonders of small things. My husband and I sat down to a delicious dinner - with lovely WolfBlass yellow label wine - and discussed the day at length. Wonderful.
A very quick post to up date. Jon has a new job! He will be head of ICT at a local prep school. I am soo proud! The only problem is we will have to become a two car family - not good!
Also please, please let the Easter holidays come soon. The kids are driving me crazy! Why can't they all just get along together. Or, alternatively, stay out of each other's way. Plus Easter weekend means a roast in Canterbury - delicious!

Some of the other activities apart from skiing. 1. The fab five debate! 2. Sightseeing in Geneva 3. The girls apply moisturiser on the train alongside Lake Geneva.
I am shocked that I haven't posted anything since November. I do remember lots of parties during December though. I was going to put some on of Jon's birthday but everyone looked a little too drunk!
